That kind of danger is exactly what this Tennessee driver caught on camera while driving down the highway. After the TikTok account @Mholmes2588 posted a clip of two people in the lane beside them driving recklessly, the internet is up in arms.
The TikTok begins with the person recording getting alongside the other car in the opposite lane. After the Tennessee driver gets a clear line of sight, what viewers see inside the car is truly shocking. The man driving had his seat all the way back and was seemingly taking a nap. While that already is dangerously dumb, the woman in the passenger’s seat was steering the car. This is what sent the video’s comment section over the edge. “What happens when they need to brake?” asked one concerned user.
Sleepy Tennessee Driver Shocks the Internet
The TikTok video has shocked many of the social media app users, as they let their emotions be known in the comments. However, for a video that is only around 19 seconds long, it has begun to pick up some steam. The clip currently sits around 140K views, with more than 10K likes. Despite it not doing as well as some other “viral” videos, this one seems to be on its way to the top.
The Tennessee driving duo appears to be the perfect example of what not to do behind the wheel of a car. Even the woman in the clip seems to understand that what she is doing is wrong. The woman can be seen attempting to cover her face while steering the speeding vehicle down the highway. Although the video does have the trendy Jet2 Holiday advertisement playing in the background, someone could have gotten seriously hurt, or worse.
The TikTok caption states that “this is a first” regarding the situation at hand. It would appear the person who recorded this clip is just as confused as the rest of the internet about what is really going on here. Although it appears they may never truly know. With the clip being rather short, the Tennessee driver wasn’t able to get the whole story. However, the video alone is strange enough as it is. Driving is a privilege, not a right, and hopefully, the people in the video will play it a lot safer moving forward.
