A woman and her friends went to Nashville, Tennessee for fun vacation time. While there, she had a baffling, racist confrontation with a group of people. Why? They were making monkey noises at she and her friends. This TikToker is a black woman, so that didn’t fly with her.
Momas (@itz_momas) said that “Nashville was fun” when she went on a trip there recently. However, she said that she and her friends experienced a “little hiccup” at one point on their trip. While standing in a massive crowd outside a Nashville bar, Momas said a group of people started making “monkey sounds” at them. Momas and her friends are black, so she knew that they were being racist.
As Momas said, she and her friends were “minding their business, dancing and having a blast” when this happened. She immediately jumped into action and loudly defended herself and her friends, calling out the group. Momas records the individuals, screaming at them, “You called us monkeys?!” A woman in the group comes up to Momas and immediately gets in her face, trying to get her to stop recording them. But Momas continues on until she reaches one specific man in the group of individuals.
Momas goes up to the man and records him, shouting, “He called us monkeys!” He immediately acted like he doesn’t know what she’s talking about. He looks at her and asks, “What?” When Momas tells the group of people that their friend is a “racist,” his friends come to his defense. The woman who got in Momas’ face calls out, “It was a JOKE!” Momas asks her, “It’s a joke that he’s racist?!”
