With so many unlawful arrests carried out by ICE and DHS, the resistance against these agencies has been growing at an all-time high. Yet, that doesn’t mean there aren’t people who openly cheer for these thugs in uniforms. One prime example surfaced recently with two men in Los Angeles who were caught on video laughing after watching an innocent woman being detained by ICE at a Home Depot in Los Angeles, California.
The video begins with a woman heatedly confronting one of the men, asking if he was truly laughing at the sight of a single mother being unlawfully arrested. Wearing sunglasses and flashing a mocking smile, the man simply said yes. Next to him stood another man in a black shirt, equally unfazed. Around them, a small crowd gathered, their phones recording the exchange, perhaps intending to expose these men and their cruel stance to the wider internet.
As tensions rose, one man stepped forward and directly asked the pair why they found the woman’s arrest by ICE funny. Despite the disgust and anger clearly radiating from the crowd, both men doubled down, grinning wider as if proud of their reaction. Their expressions suggested they believed they were completely in the right. The video eventually ended with the two still smirking while being berated, and it seemed clear they had no intention of backing down.
It wasn’t only those present in the parking lot who were appalled. Online viewers from across Los Angeles and beyond also expressed outrage at the men’s heartless behavior. Many described the pair as cruel, childish, and deeply insecure. One user commented, “They never stopped smiling. Two schoolyard bullies that never grew up. Disgusting people.”
Others mocked the flimsy arguments they raised, especially when the man in sunglasses smugly declared, “We won,” as if referencing some imagined war between white Americans and immigrants.
Redditors quickly tore into the statement. One wrote, “‘We won :D’ is so annoying. They didn’t win anything. Unless they’re part of the ultra-wealthy, which they clearly aren’t, there’s nothing for them to celebrate. But education and intelligence were never their strengths, so of course they’d walk around thinking they’ve won.”
Other users went further, venting their anger in unfiltered terms. Some mocked the men’s appearance, with the man in sunglasses being compared to a bargain-bin version of George Lucas found on Temu. Others said the two were obviously insecure about themselves and overcompensating by laughing at the suffering of others. One user wrote, “The absolute rage I felt watching just a few seconds of this, even without sound. I know I’d be screaming at these pieces of shit.”
