If your a fan of 2D platform super star Terraria then you’ll be excited to know its now officially coming to Nintendo Platforms, thanks to confirmation from developer Re-Logic.

Super cute

Don’t act too surprised though as it was only a matter of time till this port happened, as its currently available on PC, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, IOS, Android, Windows Phones and Kindle Fire.

This confirmation comes from Lead Developer Whitney Baird, or as her online Terraria Community Forum name ‘Cenx’, saying:

“Terraria is indeed coming to Wii U and 3DS.”

Funny thing is she confirmed this way back on the 7th of April and it’s only just come to light in the past few days. Unless you follow Amazon and their ‘one game at a time wrecking spree’ when it comes to early confirmations, although this date and price has yet to be confirmed.

Terraria is a 2D action adventure sandbox indie game developed by Re-Logic. It is a highly loved and followed game in the same vein as Minecraft with its freedom and exploration of open worlds, making anything a possibility. It received hugely positive reviews earning it a 83/100 MetaCritic and worldwide sales on all platforms has taken it over 2.5 million copies sold.

Let’s hope I last a lot longer playing it this time round, as my xbox 360 world was less than successful, but with Minecraft nearly finished I need something new to take up huge amounts of my free time.

This is what success looks like, I never achieved it.

Are you excited to see Terraria spreading to more platforms?

Will you be playing it again to incorporate touchscreen controls?

Is this too little to late for Nintendo fans?
