In an unfortunate and unexpected event, two customers eating at a diner in Dallas, Texas, became victims of a terrible crash when a car ran into the restaurant. CCTV footage from the restaurant, later shared on Reddit, shows a man and a woman sitting in a booth near a glass wall. The diner was empty apart from the duo and the waiters seen at the counter.
About 15 seconds into the footage, a blue Ford Bronco rammed through the glass panel, crashing straight into their table. The vehicle slammed into the unsuspecting man alongside tables before coming to a halt at the counter, and the force knocked the woman to the floor. Moments later, the lady scrambled to her feet and rushed to check on her partner, who could not be seen amidst the shattered glass and furniture.
The caption to the clip detailed that “one person was injured but expected to survive.” In no time, social media users reacted to the video. One user remarked, “Not even sitting inside eating are we safe from these drivers.”
A second Redditor commented, “imagine you’re in one of 20 empty tables eating your lunch and you get hit by a f**king car.”
In response another user shared the same opinion writing, “It was literally the only table with people and the person in the car was like, ‘Yep…This is where I hit the accelerator instead of the brakes!’”
The user added, “Glad the guy survived at least but what the heck. Terrible luck for that traumatized couple.” This other observer raised concern about how frequently this sort of car crash was occurring.
“First Houston and now Dallas? Wtf is going on in Texas that people are now driving into restaurants?” the observer questioned. A third individual chimed in, “It was a drive-through.”
Just a few days ago, food influencer NinaUnrated and YouTuber Patrick Blackwood were hit by a car while eating at Cuvee Culinary Creations in Houston. As The Nerd Stash reported, the incident occurred as the duo were filming a food review.
As the influencers took their first bite, an SUV suddenly crashed through the window, sending glass shards flying over them. Nina shared that she sustained only minor injuries in the accident, and Blackwood suffered facial cuts, but no serious harm was inflicted despite taking the brunt of the impact.
After coming face-to-face with a near-death experience, the social media personalities expressed their gratitude for surviving. The identity of the driver and the cause of the crash remain unknown.
