Texas Amazon Flex Driver Finds ‘Send Help’ Note on Package: ‘Customer Support Said That if the Customer Needs Help, They Can Contact Support’

That’s…unsettling

While rescuing victims from danger isn’t part of an Amazon Flex driver’s job description, one Texas driver found themselves in a potential emergency and did their best to help. When glancing over the address sticker posted on a package for a delivery, the driver was shocked to discover a frightening message: “Send Help.” Recognizing that the name on the parcel could be a hidden SOS signal, the driver quickly called the local police.

Before making a Reddit post about the whole ordeal or calling 911, the Flex driver reached out to Amazon’s customer support. “I messaged customer support chat…and they said that if the customer needs help, they can contact support,” the driver wrote. The live chat representative then apologized for the “inconvenience.” The driver couldn’t believe what they were reading. “Wtf lmao I’m trying to see if this customer is f**king okay!“

Serious question, should I call the cops?

Everyone in the comment section was also quite invested, urging the driver to keep them updated on what happened. “This is the right thing to do!” one commenter praised. Another Reddit user shared their own chilling story of a kidnapping incident when they were a Lyft driver. They were doing a pickup at a remote location, but when no one came out, they called the address’s phone number. To their horror, they heard a girl sobbing: “She’s pleading with someone, ‘Please just let me go, I won’t say anything. Over, and over.” Fortunately, police arrived and rescued her.

Thankfully, this Amazon Flex driver’s situation also had a good ending, though a few details remain unsettling. According to the driver, the delivery address belonged to a state trooper, and when local cops arrived, it took 20 minutes for the trooper to answer the door. He claimed no one in the household knew who had ordered the package, which allegedly contained “random girly stuff.”

“State troopers were called to the house as well,” the driver adds. “They also sent police to the church as well to check on [the] wife and daughters.” In the end, there appeared to be no foul play, but the mystery of the “Send Help” label remains unsolved. Some Redditors suspect that something sinister may be going on behind the scenes with the trooper’s family or church life. Whatever the case may be, the Amazon driver did the right thing. Instead of just delivering the package and leaving it at that, they took the extra step to ensure no one was in danger.
