Shannon Elizabeth went from one of Hollywood’s biggest sex symbols to spending much of the last decade living off her savings. Now, the Texas-born American Pie bombshell says it took just nine days to completely change her financial picture.
Elizabeth, 52, revealed that she crossed the $1 million mark only nine days after joining OnlyFans, a staggering response even she did not see coming. The actress launched her account in April while navigating a divorce and figuring out what the next chapter of her life would look like.
“I crossed $1 million in nine days,” Elizabeth told Variety, admitting the response was “really surprising.”
For the Houston-born actress, however, the eye-popping payday carries more weight than another celebrity cashing in online. Elizabeth also revealed she had been relying largely on savings for roughly 10 years after stepping away from the constant Hollywood grind.
She said the new income finally gives her enough breathing room to choose acting projects because she genuinely wants them, not because she desperately needs another paycheck.

That confession produced a considerably less sympathetic reaction from some X users.
“How to say career not going great without saying it,” one person joked.
Another questioned Elizabeth’s description of the last decade, writing, “Don’t say ‘not focusing on work’ when you are only known for topless Nadia.”
Others were far more impressed by the numbers. “$1 million in nine days puts her right up there with Cardi B and Blac Chyna,” one commenter observed, while another simply celebrated, “Way to go Nadia!”
“Good for her,” another added.
Elizabeth became an international sex symbol playing Nadia in 1999’s American Pie before appearing in Scary Movie, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Thirteen Ghosts. She eventually stepped largely away from Hollywood and devoted much of her life to animal conservation in South Africa.
She launched her OnlyFans while rebuilding her life after her split from husband Simon Borchert and says the platform doesn’t necessarily have to mean explicit content.
That explanation did little to convince every critic. One X user sarcastically responded, “‘What it was meant to be.’ Girl… it was meant to be [expletive]. Let’s not be coy.”
Elizabeth, however, views the venture differently. After decades of studios and producers controlling how audiences saw her, she says the platform allows her to control her own image and communicate directly with fans.
Hollywood made the Texas native famous by turning Nadia into one of the most recognizable sex symbols of the late 1990s. Nearly three decades later, Elizabeth says controlling that image herself brought in seven figures in just nine days.
