A group of furniture store employees in Texas didn’t let a sale get in the way of doing what was right. After a man came in asking some suspicious and rather creepy questions about bunk beds for children, it triggered an alarm among the workers at Fuze Furniture in Fort Worth. Thankfully, they decided not to turn a blind eye and did a little research before finally calling the police.
In a TikTok posted by David Hamdan, it’s clear that the Texas employees were shaken up after a man came in asking for multiple sets of bunk beds that would accommodate three children to each bed. While the man could have been furnishing an Airbnb or had many grandchildren coming to stay with him, the workers opted to conduct a quick search to determine if they should be concerned, and what they uncovered is alarming.
“He came and asked if we carried triple bunk beds, and if we had them in full sizes, and if he could fit at least three kids in each bed,” one of the employees explained. “It seemed odd, so we went and looked,” the person filming the video added.
Texas Employees Expose Sex Offender’s Creepy Furniture Request
After looking up the man’s name in the sex offender registry, they discovered that he was a level 2 offender. They then went on to look up his home address on Google Maps, and were stunned to see bars on the windows and “closed off” areas that looked “like a fortress.”
Of course, the employees called the police. A few days later, they gave an update revealing that the man had been arrested. “He’s locked up. He’s not on the streets. Good job, everybody,” Hamdan said.
The TikToker also shared more photos of the man’s house online, revealing the bars, cameras, and high fencing. “I had to see it for myself,” he captioned the video.
The internet hailed the employees as “heroes” and expressed gratitude that they trusted their instincts enough to inform the police about what they knew.
TikTok Calls Them Heroes
“As a Fort Worth Resident with kids. Honestly, thank you for doing something. Yโall should aid the FBI,” one person commented.
“They had to have found something for him to get arrested,” said another.
“PLEASE TAKE PRECAUTIONS AT YOUR STORE! He may try to seek revenge,” suggested another person.
“You definitely saved some lives,” a fourth comment read.
These Texas furniture store employees just knew that something wasn’t right, and because they were brave enough to take action, they may have taken a serious criminal off the streets.
