The Karens won’t stop rearing their ugly heads. This time, a male Karen from Austin, Texas, is facing premium disgrace on the Internet after crashing out at a Whataburger restaurant.
The viral incident captured in a Reddit clip showed the male Karen yelling obscenities at two African-American women sitting across from him. The aggressor, dressed in a blue jacket with grey pants and an orange cap, seemed drunk, slurring his words as he verbally attacked the women. Other onlookers watched on as the drama unfolded.
As one of the women tried to exchange words with the white male, the other female behind the camera urged her to ignore the male Karen. As both women tried their best not to respond, he only yelled louder. “Oh, yeah. Because I’m a white person, I can’t f**king stand up for myself,” he declared, trying to play the victim.
The women pretended he wasn’t across the room and continued their conversation. However, he kept on ranting about how black people are not hated as equally as white people. Underneath, the woman recording could be heard pleading with her companion not to get triggered by his rants. She advised that the erratic man could have a weapon, so it was best not to engage with him. Unfortunately, their discussion to ignore him only aggravated the drunk MAGA.
“Oh, yeah. It’s okay for White people to hate Black people but it is not okay for Black people to hate White people.”
The women paid him no mind, even randomly adding up numbers to while away time. The almost two-minute video garnered reactions on Reddit. Many unleashed on the male Karen, slamming him while praising the women for taking the high road.
“Seems like the average low IQ MAGA to me,” one Redditor wrote, to which another replied, “Drunk trash.”
“I love how she starts adding up numbers to try to distract and calm herself and her friend,” this user praised.
“Ya’ll did great, expose but don’t engage—especially with someone who clearly has nothing to lose,” a similar comment read.
“The fact that these types of people still exist speaks volumes, and the fact that their leader is leading the country speaks even more volumes about our country,” a fourth comment read.
“I really hate how everyone looks over, watches, sees what is happening, sees them getting uncomfortable, and decides, ‘eh, not my problem,‘” another user agreed.
Other Internet users questioned why no Whataburger employees intervened and asked the man out of the restaurant. Usually, Karen altercations end in a standoff, but these women took the high road. Maybe that is the way to deal with these racist Karens.
