Out there, there are thousands of irresponsible drivers who put everyone at risk. However, that doesn’t mean officers can’t be selective when it comes to pulling over a driver. For example, this police officer in Texas pulled over a man for “failing to signal within 100 feet of a turn,” but when he didn’t cooperate, the cop dragged the driver out of the car and arrested him. This is a clear example of excessive use of force by those who “should protect citizens.“
User trap0flow shared a video where he is in his car, waiting for the officer who pulled him over. But as soon as the Texas cop approaches the car, he accuses the OP of “failing to signal within 100 feet of a turn,” while opening the car door and telling him that he is under arrest. From the moment the officer opened the door of his car, the OP began to say to the cop that he couldn’t do that and that it was unlawful. Still, the cop ignored him and continued to repeat that the OP was under arrest. The cop even unbuckled the driver’s seatbelt and pulled him by the wrist. When the OP asked the reason for the arrest, the cop continued to repeat that it was for failing to signal. To which the OP responded that he couldn’t arrest for that.
Seeing that OP knows his rights and is not going to cooperate with such a ridiculous accusation, the cop used all his strength to pull the driver out of the car. The camera falls, and you can’t see anything else in the video, but you can hear the officer saying, “Get out of the fu**ing car.” This scared many users, like Brittany 🤎🖤, who wrote, “Arrested for failing to signal?🙃🙃🙃 Never going back to Texas.” Several comments also said that the police are acting up and out of control, especially lately.
Several users added that in Texas, you can’t be arrested for something so ridiculous, and there is a protocol that cops must follow. As Illogicalmind wrote, saying that “Did he skip the part where you’re supposed to ask for a DL, registration, and insurance so a ticket/warning can be written? Buddy went straight to manhandling“.
In addition, in his post, Trap0flow asked for help in making the video go viral, as he was about to enlist in the Navy. And this ridiculousness would put him in a tight spot and delay him.
