Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett Faces Backlash Over Controversial Mail-In Ballot Ruling: ‘The Supreme Court Suddenly Isn’t Racist, I see’

Awfully convenient

The outspoken and always center stage Texas Representative Jasmine Crockett has found herself at the center of yet another fiery political discussion. The vocal Democrat caused intense online backlash following her highly sarcastic reaction to a major U.S. Supreme Court decision regarding mail-in voting.

Well…would you look at that.

After all those made-up lies about mail-in ballots, the Supreme Court just rejected this administration's latest attempt to silence voters.

Y'all need to stop trying to suppress votes and start trying to earn them. https://t.co/3mscLXGnv6

In a shocking but not quite surprising tweet that quickly went viral, Crockett took aim at the nation’s Supreme Court and had some choice words that started a series of back-and-forths calling out her hypocrisy. Here is what the Texas rep. had to say.

Well…would you look at that.

After all those made-up lies about mail-in ballots, the Supreme Court just rejected this administration’s latest attempt to silence voters.

Y’all need to stop trying to suppress votes and start trying to earn them.

The comment came immediately after the Supreme Court issued a stunning 5-4 ruling allowing late-arriving mail-in ballots to be counted across several states, dealing a massive legal blow to President Trump’s efforts to restrict mail-in voting. While many Democrats celebrated the unexpected victory for voting rights, Crockett used the moment to call out what she views as a fundamentally broken system. This caused a huge stink, as many Texas conservatives immediately called out her hypocrisy, as she has slammed the Supreme Court repeatedly in the past.

“The Supreme Court Suddenly Isn’t Racist, I see”

“You do nothing but bad talk the Supreme Court when decisions don’t go your way, but talk…when they do! Mail-in ballots remain one of the most insecure & easiest ways for election fraud!”

“She just said the right thing. Earn votes. That is how it works. If you are doing a good job, you should not have a problem getting re-elected. All we want is for people to try to be reasonable with each other. The parties will always have differences in their thinking. However, a true leader listens to all. We need our elected leaders to stop banging heads and work. No one is ever going to like everything that results. They can do this.”

As Texas voters continue to argue over her remarks, Crockett has shown absolutely zero intention of walking back her statements. She has built her entire career on direct commentary and has shown absolutely zero intention of walking back her statements.
