Texas Republican Somehow Connects Jesus, Charlie Kirk, and the No Kings Protest All in One Sentence, ‘Charlie Kirk was willing to say it and he got killed for it’

That is quite the stretch

Texas Republican Chip Roy, currently serving in Congress, was once chief of staff for Senator Ted Cruz. That’s enough to tell you a lot about his political stance. He’s known for being incredibly vocal about where he stands on issues, like claiming Planned Parenthood murders babies, puts them in freezers, and is somehow funding Palestine. In fact, he was once in a rift with President Trump after insulting the “Big Beautiful Bill.” Now, he’s proving republicans, once again, say the darndest things.

Republican Rep. Chip Roy: "The truth is the marxist, radicals, and Islamists the Democratic Party promoted this weekend, they cannot handle the truth. The truth is that there is a king and that king is Jesus. And… Charlie Kirk was willing to say it and he got killed for it."

“The truth is, Marxists, radicals, and the Islamists the Democratic party promoted this weekend, they cannot handle the truth,” Republican Rep. Chip Roy boldly claimed of the No Kings protests in a public accountment. “The truth is that there is a king, and that king is Jesus. And the president has been willing to say it. His administration has been willing to say it,” Chip added.

What makes it even worse isn’t the fact he decided to take a religious route on his position. He brings one more person into the matter too, as he adds, “And Charlie Kirk was willing to say it, and he got killed for it,” turning Kirk—someone who was loved by far-right extremists—into a martyr.

What’s so funny about this is people like Roy don’t agree democrats should be out sharing their opinions. The peaceful gatherings that took place this past weekend at the protests were just too much for him to handle, apparently. In reality, Chip Roy is pushing the narrative that everyone else, except republicans, are the problem.

One commenter posted a Barry Goldwater quote in response to the video. He simply stated, “Mark my word, if and when these preachers get control of the Republican party, and they’re sure trying to do so, it’s going to be a terrible [expletive] problem. Frankly, these people frighten me. Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can’t and won’t compromise. I know, I’ve tried to deal with them.”

Another person added, “The MAGA leaders are like Pharisees, self-righteous hypocrites. Jesus fought against the Pharisees, their judgmental ways and their overbearing laws. If Jesus is real, then he would be fighting against MAGA,” and yet that goes right over Roy’s head. But good on him for somehow connecting Charlie Kirk, democrats, Jesus, and the No Kings protests all in one go.
