A veterinary technician in Santa Anna, Texas, had a medical emergency at her office while holding a puppy. Thankfully, she was okay following the incident, but after sharing the clip online, she found thousands of people joking about it. She, however, joined in on the fun.
The vet tech, who goes by Becs, shared the moment on TikTok. From the get-go, she took it extremely lightly, as she accompanied her otherwise tense moment with the Wii Sports title theme.
The Texas woman is shown carrying a puppy on her left arm. She, however, lets the dog go as she begins having a seizure. Becs fell to the ground, and her coworkers, confused, were unsure whom to attend to first: the woman convulsing on the ground or the dog, which had landed badly on its back.
More vet staff members began to show up, two of them taking care of Becs. Others just stood by, froze. One of them rolled over an anesthesia machine, which many users found hilarious.
Turns out, this was Becs’ first seizure ever, caused by a medication. However, a good chunk of more than 4,500 users inquired about the dog’s well-being in the comments section.
“Is the dog OK? You kinda tripped on it,” one user asked. Becs responded sarcastically, saying, “I’ll keep that in mind next time I have a seizure.”
An Amazing Sense Of Humor
For the record, the dog was completely fine. The Texas woman even shared a photo of herself with the puppy two weeks after her seizure. Knowing that both the human and the dog did fine after the medical emergency, users felt more than free to poke fun at her and her coworkers, and she was very into it.
“Did they have to put you down?” one person asked. Becs responded, “I wish,” and many laughed out loud. Another one said, “No one in that office is your emergency contact, right?” A third one added, “Bless your sense of humor. I hope you’re okay.”
Given that the puppy didn’t take it personally, it appears that the Texas vet tech’s record with her furry patients is still unscathed. Hopefully, she won’t have to go through something so potentially traumatizing ever again. If she does, she will likely laugh it off regardless.
