A woman in Texas is revealing that she’s having it out with a makeup artist in Houston and it’s all because of Beyonce. The woman took to social media to share her story, and how an event that she was excited for turned into a real hassle when a local makeup artist decided to flip the script without apology. Now, she’s calling out the “extortion” and letting everyone know that she’s not going to stand for it.
The Texas woman named Kira revealed in a TikTok video that was was all set to attend Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter tour in Houston. She was stoked for the event, and even booked an appointment to get her makeup professionally done so that she would look her best for the fun night out.
Kira told the internet that she booked her appointment one month in advance with no problem. She put down a deposit and carried on with life. However, days before the concert, she got a message from the makeup artist asking if she was getting her makeup done for the Cowboy Carter tour. When Kira revealed that she was, she was told that she would have to pay more than originally stated.
The makeup artist revealed that there was a price increase for those getting their makeup done for the Beyonce concert. Kira let that process and then fired back that she had booked before the business had implemented that price increase, and asked that her original price be honored.

However, the makeup artist refused to budge on the price. He did offer to return her deposit. Kira accepted that and asked that her initial deposit be immediately refunded to her. Then, not long after the makeup artist changed their mind, revealing that they had decided not to return the deposit and honor their own no-refund policy. Instead, he offered to give her the previously agreed-upon price at a later date. Of course, Kira didn’t want that. She had planned to get her makeup done for the concert.
“I’ve never experienced this level of unprofessionalism,” Kira told her followers.
TikTok immediately took Kira’s side and began to share their thoughts on the situation.
“They’re so money hungry and unprofessional! Whatever price I agreed on when I booked is the price that should be honored. Why is this even a conversation????” one person commented.
“You booked in advance. Placed a deposit and then he held the appt ransom. He’s in the wrong,” another stated.
“Do he think HE’S Beyonce??” another joked.
“He’s tryna to get y’all to buy his ticket,” agreed another.
It looks like this Texas woman may have a fight on her hands if she chooses to continue to dispute the price. However, she’s got all the receipts to back up her claims.
