A woman from Texas named Lauren took to social media recently to share a shocking and unbelievable story about how she spotted her late brother in Italy when she and her family took a vacation in honor of his birthday. Lauren says that she and her father both spotted her late brother, Jayden, while waiting for a ferry to take them out on the water, and things got very emotional.
Lauren says that she understands that not everyone will believe her story. However, she is telling the emotional tale anyway on TikTok. The Texas native reveals that her brother, Jayden, died in August 2024 after a tragic cliff-jumping incident. So, you can imagine her surprise when she saw him in Italy doing the activity that he previously loved.
“I know this is going to sound crazy, and I know I’m going to sound crazy when I tell y’all this, but just bear with me. This is not something I would lie about. This 100 percent happened, and I wasn’t the only one who saw him,” she started off her video.
During their seven-day Italian vacation, Lauren, her parents, and her sister visited several cities. During one stop, they were waiting for a ferry, and the landscape included large rocks surrounded by water. Many people were climbing the rocks and jumping from them, which prompted Lauren’s mother to look away due to her son’s heartbreaking death.

However, both Lauren and her father watched the people jump into the water, and that’s when the unthinkable happened. Lauren watched as a young man climbed up to the top of the rock. At that moment, she instantly knew it was her brother, Jayden. In addition to looking exactly like her late sibling, the man also had the same unique tattoo in the exact same spot on his leg that Jayden had.
Lauren said that she cried out loud that the man on the rock was her brother, and her father also saw him and agreed. The man then made eye contact with Lauren and smiled before jumping into the water. Lauren says she watched for him to reappear, but he never came out of the water. Now she’s convinced that the spirit of her late brother visited her and her family on their Italian vacation.
“Call me crazy, but I’m fully convinced I saw his spirit while I was in Italy, and it was such a healing moment for me. I wouldn’t wish the loss of a sibling on anyone. it’s the hardest thing ive ever had to deal with. but i think this was my brothers way of letting me know he’s okay,” Lauren wrote in the caption of the post.
Meanwhile, TikTok was captivated by the story and many couldn’t help but weigh in with comments.

“I’m 1000% believe you. That was definitely your brother. The tattoo, everything about it. For sure him, spirits can sometimes show up in human form!” said another.

It seems that for this Texas family, their Italian vacation was about much more than seeing the sights. For some, they also got closure and a sweet reunion with their late loved one.
