There are always things to do when you’re playing Minecraft, the biggest sandbox game of the last decade. While there are versions that let you run the game on many platforms, Bedrock often gets the short end of the stick. Especially compared to Java Edition which is much more mod friendly and customizable. Still, that doesn’t mean you can’t use any mod. We have compiled a list of various Minecraft Bedrock mods that will improve your gaming experience.
1. Butchery Addon
Want to expand the cooking system in Minecraft? The Butchery Addon is the perfect start if you want to try yourself as a butcher. The mod will give you new items and tools with which you can slaughter animals as they do on real farms. Skin them, cut them into pieces, process the leather, smoke them for food, you name it!
2. True Backpack Mods for Minecraft Bedrock
As you can guess from the name, the True Backpack Addon lets you craft backpacks that can be carried around. The backpack can be used as a chest, whether you’re carrying it or placing it on the ground. The basic one will add an extra 64 slots, but with rare materials, you can even make improved versions of it.
It is also interesting that you can put or attach some objects in the backpack, such as a bucket. Then this bucket will appear as if it is attached to the backpack, which adds a nice touch of realism.
3. Pixelmon for Minecraft Bedrock Mods
Just because the Cobblemon mod is only playable on Java Edition, doesn’t mean Bedrock players cannot enjoy the next best thing. Enter, the Pixelmon mod, which adds tons of Pokemon across the game’s biome, Legendaries, and even Mega Evolution system.
It’s a bit jarring seeing smooth, high poly models in the blocky, voxel world of Minecraft. But hey, a Pokemon in Minecraft is Pokemon in Minecraft.
4. Socketed Armor Addon
The Socketed Armor addon will add a lot of new features for the armoring mechanics, giving deeper options for dedicated adventurers. With it, you will be able to socket Gems in the armor that will give it various buffs. These buffs will provide additional protection, damage, or movement speed, which will allow you to customize your armor to specific needs.
5. Expansive Biomes Addon
With Expansive Biomes Addon, exploring the world will be much more interesting thanks to the addition of 34 new biomes. In these biomes, you will find new buildings, NPCs, materials, ores, and much more.
Do keep in mind that you need to turn on Experimental Gameplay for this addon to work. It might also not work on older devices and with other biome or world-generation addons. There are also some visual issues with custom leaves.
6. Game Polish Mod
Vanilla Minecraft is already a very expansive and deep game, but if you think some parts could be polished, then you’re in luck. Game Polish Addon adds more than 200 changes without adding new blocks or items. For example, you can get back ingredients from crafted items, convert slabs to blocks, and gain bonus loot from drops. This mod also needs Experimental Features to work.
7. Lively Villagers Minecraft Bedrock Mods
Do you like playing a life simulator like Stardew Valley? What would you feel if you could have a similar experience in Minecraft? Simply install Lively Villagers Addon and you can interact with Villagers properly and not just trade items with them.
8. Better: Portal Guns Addon
You can easily teleport anywhere with a console command, but where is the fun in that? Install Better: Portal Guns Addon and collect Iron Nugget, Iron Ingot, Redstone, and Stick to craft one. Now, you’re thinking with Portal.
9. World Animals Addon
World Animals Addon will greatly diversify your world by adding more than 50 wild animals to all existing biomes. The list includes elephants, giraffes, penguins, ostriches, zebras, rhinos, and many others. In addition, many of these animals can be tamed, saddled, and even put on armor.
10. Mutant Creatures Add-on
Creeper, Endermen, and Warden are deadly enough but maybe you like to live dangerously? If the answer is yes, then say hello to the Mutant Creatures Add-on. This difficulty-increasing mod adds 21 mutants with incredible powers along with minions and easter eggs.
11. Amplified Bedrock Mod
Enjoy searching and looking at impossible geometry and flying blocks? Thanks to the Amplified Bedrock Addon, the world generation for Bedrock can be tweaked to be more like Java Edition. Things will be more amplified and you’ll be seeing more interesting landscapes as you go.
12. Zalcyan’s Quest Mod
Ever wonder what’s out there, well at least beyond the Minecraft world? Wonder no more, as Zalcyan’s Quest Addon will immerse you in the atmosphere of a technological alien civilization. This mod will add many different biomes to your world in which you will meet alien creatures, new materials, buildings, and technological weapons.
13. Held Light Sources Addon
Feels weird when the Torch you’re holding doesn’t emit light? Then Held Light Sources Addon is the mod for you. New light sources from various materials and items such as Lanterns or Potions will appear, adding immersion for survival in the dark.
14. Faithful HD Addon
Faithful HD Addon is a texture pack for those players who thought Minecraft was lacking in texture details. This will make blocks and other objects look much more realistic by adding detail in a much higher resolution. Players who love building will now have structures with much better and sharper looks.
15. Item Physics Minecraft Bedrock Mods Addon
Manipulating physics engine has been a favorite pastime of gamers ever since its introduction in the early 2000s. Now you can do so in Minecraft with Item Physics Addon, where every object you drop will flop around instead of falling stiff. You will need to turn on Experimental Feature, Holiday Creator, and Mob Griefing features for this to work.
16. True Survival – Zombie Apocalypse
If playing standard Survival gets boring, then it’s time to crank things up a notch. This True Survival Addon will turn your world into a zombie apocalypse. Fellow vaccinated human NPCs will be hard to find and you’ll need to protect and breed them to repopulate the world. Thankfully, the man’s best friend, a Dog, can help you on your journey to saving the land.
