‘The babysitter told us no,’ Says Utah Mother After Announcing She’d Be Home From Vacation to See Her Children

When your babysitter does something that could be construed as suspicious, the alarms in your head go on red alert. One couple in Utah were giving their babysitter a heads up on their schedule, after enjoying their relaxing vacation, only to be told no. Something was definitely up, but still seemingly dangerous. When they finally got home, their kids were fine—happy, even. The house was in order, too. But the kids, well, they had a bit of a makeover.

“I’m shocked, confused, not sure if I should be mad or happy because my kids were happy?” TikToker Kuuipodawn, Ku’uipo Dawn, writes on TikTok. The scene changes from the sad goodbye to a comfortable vacation to texts between Dawn and her babysitter. She said they’d be home “for an hour” before heading off again for a play. “The babysitter told us no,” Dawn writes.

“Oh let’s wait like 45 minutes to come home,” the babysitter responded. When asked why by Dawn, she ominously texted back “No reason just wait.” Strangely, Ku’uipo suggested she could have her car washed in the meantime. The alarm has to be going off in her head, right?

When Mom and Dad finally get home, they record themselves entering the home, and come face to face with pink-haired children. Even their one-year-old got a spot of bright pink to match her rosy cheeks. Some have streaks, though their son seems to have the most, with a slick hairdo to match. It was all done by their babysitter, which happen to be of the oldest kids.

One commenter suggested it was a strategic move by Ku’uipo’s daughter to get out of babysitting again when she asked, “Are you going to let me babysit again?” Slick move, kid. I’m mad I didn’t think of that one.

Another commenter felt what we all most certainly felt before you find out the babysitter is their older daughter: “The second my babysitter says no don’t come home yet i’d be racinggggg home cause wym ????” Otherwise, no one in their right mind would be that chill. No one is in a rush.

Though it’s unclear what type of dye their daughter used (they don’t say), there are brands that last until washed. Hope she didn’t get into too much trouble! Unless it’s permanent, you can let this one slide Mom and Dad. It’s just some harmless fun, and it looks pretty funny.
