Sunday regressed after the whole incident in which he tried to control Panacony completely and all the dreamers. However, he came refreshed with a different image and resigned himself to follow Harmony’s Parth. Sunday’s radical change in Honkai Star Rail turned his build into one that relies on buffing his teams, and even though his Ulti has this Celestial style, it does divine damage. Sunday is undoubtedly heaven-sent for when you need to do as much damage as possible to your enemies.
Best Light Cones
As a Harmony character, Sunday’s playstyle involves getting buffs for his teammates, and for his kit specifically, these are some of his best Light Cones:
A Grounded Ascent (5-Star) | This is Sunday’s Signature Light Cone, which makes it the first choice for his build in Honkai Star Rail. This is mainly because this LC can help him get additional actions, allowing his buff to be practically permanently active. Also, you can get an additional Skill Point with this LC. |
But The Battle Isn’t Over (5-star) | This is a more easily obtainable option that helps improve your team’s overall performance and not just Sunday. This LC stands out for helping collect Energy and giving the rest of the team DMG boosts. However, you will depend more on the attacks because Sunday’s buff will not last as long. |
Past and Future (4-Star) | If you are a F2P player, this LC is another option similar to But The Battle Isn’t Over, which also requires you to focus more on the hits and not on the buff duration. However, you can get this one at the Forgotten Hall Store. |
Best Relics
Sacerdos’ Relived Ordeal is the ideal set if you don’t use Sunday in Hyperspeed, and with it, you can maximize the CRIT DMG of the teammate who gets the buff. However, Sunday needs specific stats and sub-stats; if you can’t get them, Eagle of Twilight Line also improves his Ultimate DMG and Speed.
Body Piece | CRIT DMG – Sunday’s Ultimate needs 180 to 220% as it scales with CRIT DMG, so it is one of his most important stats. |
Feet Piece | Speed – One tactic is to make Sunday get as many additional actions as possible, and you must turn Sunday into a Hyperspeed unit with at least 160 SPD. If your build is less focused on extra actions and more on increasing his DMG, you can leave his SPD at 134. |
Planar Sphere | HP or DEF – For HP, looking between 4000 and 4500 is recommended, while DEF 1000 to 1200 is ideal. |
Link Rope | Energy Regen – For Sunday, to get his extra turns and keep his buffs active, he will need 119.44 – 124.44% Energy Regen. |
For his Planar Ornaments, you can opt for Lushaka, the Sunken Seas, to enhance Sunday’s Energy Regeneration and ATK; it is advantageous if your Main DPS requires ATK buffs. Broken Keel is another option; even though it stands out more for its Effect RES, after getting 30% of this stat, it also increases the party’s CRIT DMG.
Team Composition
Sunday is one of the most flexible characters and has the most synergy with most teams in Honkai Star Rail. So having Sunday as an ally will make your life easier, but more so with these teammates:
Team 1 | Team 2 | Team 3 | |
Main DPS | Jing Yuan Imbibitor Lunae Jingliu Argenti | Blade | Boothill |
Support | Sunday | Sunday | Sunday |
