Frank, Julie, Joey, and Susie are the resident bad kids of Dead by Daylight. Sometimes you just want to go zoom, and these young ruffians bring the speed and the pain. The Legion can quickly vault pallets and windows, chain hits, and sense survivors with Killer Instinct. Throw in some Deep Wounds to delay gameplay, and Legion can punch above their M1 weight class. If only they teamed up in the Trials the way they do in Behaviour‘s lore. Here are some of the best Legion builds in Dead by Daylight.
Meta Build
Surge | The Demogorgon |
Hex: Ruin | The Hag |
Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance | The Artist |
Surveillance | The Pig |
The Legion has an easy time scoring initial hits on multiple survivors but struggles to finish them off. This build prioritizes slowing the game as much as possible to give this M1 killer the time needed to win. Ruin pairs naturally with the Deep Wounds inflicted by Feral Frenzy, punishing survivors who stop repairing gens to heal or treat their wounds. Between Surge and Pain Res to regress gens and Surveillance to monitor them, you should be able to wear away at survivors until they finally break.
Surge causes nearby generators to explode when you down a survivor with a basic attack. Hex: Ruin causes generators to automatically regress when a survivor isn’t repairing them. Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance damages the most progressed generator when you hook a unique survivor on a Scourge Hook. Surveillance highlights regressing gens in white and highlights them in yellow when the regression stops. With generators under your constant supervision (and often exploding), escape won’t be easy for the survivors.
All-Purpose Build
Lethal Pursuer | The Nemesis |
Coup de Grace | The Twins |
Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance | The Artist |
No Way Out | The Trickster |
Specialized builds are great, but sometimes you want a build that can handle whatever you throw at it. This jack-of-all-trades loadout ranks amongst the best Legion builds in Dead by Daylight. It mixes stall, gen regression, info, and chase abilities to ensure you always have some tool at your disposal. Even with only a single Aura perk, Lethal Pursuer (combined with Feral Frenzy) can earn you multiple hits right away. That may be enough to give you the momentum you need to win.
Lethal Pursuer reveals the Auras of all survivors at the beginning of the Trial, letting you enter chase right away. Coup de Grace extends your first two lunges each time a generator is completed, making tough hits much easier. Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance damages the most progressed generator when you hook a unique survivor on a Scourge Hook. No Way Out temporarily blocks the exit gate switches, preventing survivors from quickly opening the gates. Between the early hits from Lethal and a down or two from Coup, building stacks of Pain Res and No Way Out should be a breeze.
Basic Build
Thanatophobia | The Nurse |
Discordance | The Legion |
Agitation | The Trapper |
Brutal Strength | The Trapper |
As one of the game’s easiest killers, The Legion makes a great starting point for new players. Unfortunately, players don’t have access to a ton of perks when they first start. This basic build solves that problem by using only commonly available perks. With the help of Nurse and Trapper, you can make a well-rounded build to endure a variety of challenges. Boil Over and sabo players? You have Agitation. Pre-droppers got you down? You have Brutal Strength. It’s a build that smoothes a lot of rough edges for Legion, making Trials much more pleasant overall.
Thanatophobia slows gen repair speeds more and more with each survivor that is injured. Discordance reveals the Aura of any generator being repaired by multiple survivors. Agitation increases your movement speed when carrying survivors, letting you reach distant hooks and avoid bodyblocks. Brutal Strength lets you break pallets, generators, and breakable walls more quickly. Although you can’t rely on one perk as a win condition in itself, the build’s strength still makes it one of the Legion’s best in Dead by Daylight. Time to brush off the old mascot costume.
