Since the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and its Warzone integration, the weapons of the new game are dominating. This is while you’ll still find some of the MW2 weapons as ground loot, and some of them have even received a buff like the TR-76 Geist assault rifle. There’s one particular MW2 SMG loadout, however, that can compete with the broken HRM-9 and the best Striker-9 meta loadouts in Warzone Season 2.
ISO 9mm SMG Is Shockingly Good in Warzone Season 2
In times that Vel 46 and Lachman bros are eating dust in the Call of Duty HQ’s armory, the ISO 9mm is back on top. Even the placement of this weapon is changed in the loadout menu, sitting among the meta MW3 SMGs. Now, there’s one certain reason that allows the 9mm SMG to get back on its feet, and that’s when equipping MW3 attachments to it.
Best ISO 9mm Loadout
- Ammunition: 9mm High Grain Rounds
- Barrel: 7″ EX Raptor-V2
- Optic: Nydar Model 2023
- Magazine: 50-Round Mag
- Underbarrel: Ftac SP-10 Angled Grip
Going back to pick the older MW2 weapons in Warzone feels a bit rusty. But if you open the attachments section, you’ll come across some new options like the 9mm High Grain Rounds. This is new, we didn’t have this before, and it isn’t available on all MW2 weapons.
So to make ISO 9mm overpowered again, use the High Grain Rounds for higher damage and range. Then, add the Ftac SP-10 Angled Grip for the best horizontal recoil control with the least penalty. Next, pick a good optic for precision sights; ISO 9mm’s iron sights are the biggest issue here.
Now, what happens to the mobility? We need to care about how fast you move around with the best Warzone Season 2 SMG, right? This is where the 7″ EX Raptor-V2 comes in. Offering quick ADS time and sprint-to-fire speed, this barrel’s only downfall is a minor penalty when it comes to the damage department. You could also remove ISO 9mm’s stock if you want to avoid the penalty, but the resulting accuracy isn’t ideal.
Overall, the ISO 9mm is one of the best Warzone SMGs in Season 2 for loadouts, only if the developers don’t decide to nerf it. Silent nerfs and buffs happen during every Warzone season, and it might be a matter of days until we see the downfall of this MW2 weapon.
