The supes are coming back for more blood, carnage, and sexual domination. Amazon has released the first teaser trailer for The Boys season 4 (seen below). This gives us a glimpse at newcomers, like Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who reunites with the creator Eric Kripke years after their time on Supernatural. We also get a sense of how much higher the stakes are following the events of the last season and the college spinoff Gen V.
The trailer is narrated by newcomer Susan Heyward (Orange Is the New Black) as Sister Sage, who is speaking about how democracies fail because “people are f—ing stupid.” From there, we get to see how divided our leads are as they try to work together after growing tired of Butcher’s (Karl Urban) lies to stop Homelander (Antony Starr) and Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) from getting political power on top of their deadly superpowers.
In Season Four, the world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son as well as his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.

The Boys Season 4 Teaser Trailer Gives a Darker Tone Than Ever Before
The timeline will take us not too far past the events of Gen V. Neuman has obtained a deadly virus to take down supes, which, from what we know, is the main point that will crossover into the main series. We don’t see this connection in the teaser trailer for The Boys season 4, but we feel the raised threats in the universe. By the time it concludes, the next season will lead into the next season of Gen V, which has been greenlit.
The footage gives us a look at some of our returning favorites alongside some newbies. Tagging with The Walking Dead and Orange Is the New Black stars, Valorie Curry (Detroit: Become Human) will join as a new supe named Firecracker. They join returning stars Starr, Urban, Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Laz Alonso, Jessie T. Usher, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Colby Minifie, Cameron Crovetti, and more who will reprise their previous roles.
Despite finally getting the teaser trailer for The Boys season 4, no date has been set yet. The Emmy-nominated superhero series will be released sometime in 2024 on Prime Video. For now, you can catch up on all three seasons and Gen V.
