The first episode of The Expanse: A Telltale Series is right around the corner. This means an important decision rests in your hands: which edition to pre-order. Telltale is releasing a couple of editions of the game, and each comes with its own perks. While this decision is not as important as whether to trust some space pirates, it is still crucial. Thankfully, we have a handy guide to the editions of the game and the pre-order bonuses to help you out.

Pre-Order Bonuses

The Expanse: A Telltale Series is heading to current-gen consoles, minus the Nintendo Switch. It will also be launched exclusively on the Epic Games Store for Microsoft Windows for the first year of release. With the first episode releasing on July 26, it is time to start planning those pre-orders.

Luckily, pre-ordering any edition of the game nets you a reward: early access. Whether you opt for the PlayStation 5 version or go with the Epic Games Store, pre-purchasing the game gives you 24-hour early access to all the episodes. This means you can begin Camina Drummer’s adventures an entire day before everyone else. Plus, each time a new episode drops, you get the same 24-hour perk. Now you need to decide which version of the game to pre-order!

The Expanse: A Telltale Series Standard Edition

The Expanse: A Telltale Series is available in both Standard and Deluxe editions. The Standard edition brings you the base game, including all five planned chapters or episodes:

  • Episode 1: Archer’s Paradox
  • Episode 2: Hunting Grounds
  • Episode 3: First Ones
  • Episode 4: Impossible Objects
  • Episode 5: Europa’s Folly

This edition runs $39.99 across all platforms.

Deluxe Edition

There is a Deluxe edition of the game for those looking to get a little extra out of The Expanse: A Telltale Series. This version brings you the base game with all five planned episodes. However, you also get a bonus episode. This extra chapter is called “ARCHANGEL” and draws inspiration from the popular television show. It is set against the backdrop of the UNN Peace Operations. This is a unit formed to defend Earth from impending danger. The bonus chapter also brings a beloved character from the show into the Telltale game. This edition goes for $44.99 across all platforms.

Hopefully, this handy guide will make your decision on which version of The Expanse: A Telltale Series to grab this Summer. Although, based on what Telltale has shown of the game, you shouldn’t be disappointed no matter which route you go!
