The Fall of the House of X event is almost upon us, and it is shaping up to be quite the affair. The coming end of the Krakoan Age kicks off in January’s intertwined Fall of the House of X and Rise of the Powers of X. However, Marvel is showing how far-reaching this event will be in previews for March’s X-Men releases. Cover reveals and plot synopsis for several of March’s X-Men titles show that the two comic events will leave quite the impact in their wake.
Fall Of The House Of X
Beginning in January, the end of the Krakoan Era for mutants comes to an end with two limited series. Fall of the House of X and Rise of the Powers of X are two connected five-issue runs that will usher in the end. The series will draw the war between mutants and Orchis to a dramatic close. While House will take place in the present, Powers will jump into a potential future for mutant kind.
Meanwhile the effects of Fall of the House of X are evident in Marvel’s March titles. Specifically, the narratives of X-Men #32, Dead X-Men #3, Wolverine #45-46, and Resurrection of Magneto #3 will be upended. As well as the stories for X-Men: Forever #1, Cable #3, and X-Force #50. The descriptions for these issues reveal how impactful the events of House will be for all mutants.
March Mayhem
For X-Men #32, the impact of Fall of the House of X finds Kate Pryde and Illyana Rasputin (Magik) teaming up. The two mutants aim to put an end to some anti-mutant hate group. Meanwhile, X-Force #50 show the titular team using their secret weapon in the war against Beast. Then, in Wolverine the Sabretooth War comes to a head as Orchis and Stark Sentinels joins the fray.
Meanwhile, in Dead X-Men #3 the real reason for the Dead X-Men’s mission comes to light. Then, Storm and Magneto face-off against the King of Shadows in Resurrection of Magneto #3. The origins of Neocracy are explored in Cable #3. Finally, X-Men: Forever #1 debuts, tying directly into the events of Fall of the House of X and Rise of the Powers of X.
