This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

We’ll start off by saying that you can never have enough Crystallization Catalyst or Crystal in The First Descendant. These Crystals are the key to upgrading your Descendants and your weapons by allowing you to fit more Modules. So, let’s get started; here’s how you farm Crystallization Catalyst components in the fastest manner. We’ll divide this into each of the crafting components. Also, you need a well-built Bunny and a Thunder Cage.

Murky Energy Residue (x8)

Best Farming Location: Sterile Land (Hard) – Unknown Laboratory

  1. IMPORTANT: Do this in a Private session.
  2. Enter the Unknown Library (Hard).
  3. Reach the part where you have to kill enemies to make the bomb drop.
  4. Once you’ve killed enough enemies, the elite enemy that drops Murky Energy Residue and the bomb will appear. Kill him and loot the resource.
  5. Pick up the Murky Energy Residue, open the main menu, and select ‘Return to Albion.’
  6. If you still don’t have eight Murky Energy Residue, repeat steps 1-5.

If you’re lucky, it will only take one run though the elite enemy to usually drop eight of them. After that, it’s on to the next crafting component.

Macromolecule Biogel (x22)

  1. Open the map, and set your game to Private (right beside the region name).
  2. Go to the Outpost in Muskeg Swamp, head north, complete the Recon mission.
  3. If you still don’t have 22 Macromolecule Biogel, go to the Derelict Covert Outpost to the east. Head north and finish the other Recon mission there.
  4. Rinse and repeat (wait for the 5-minute timer).

Macromolecule Biogel drops are thankfully generous (often in packs of 22).

Mixed Energy Residue (x8)

Best Farming Location: Near Miragestone Tactical Transporter in Agna Desert.

  1. Go to the Miragestone Tactical Transporter in Miragestone, Agna Desert.
  2. Use your Ecive around the teleporter’s area, listen for pings, and follow them. Reload the area (by going back to Albion) if there are no pings.
  3. Complete the Encrypted Vault or Storage Box mini-games.

Even the most common Encrypted Vaults contain around 6-8 Mixed Energy Residues.

Advanced Neural Circuit (x18)

Best Farming Location: White-Night Gulch (Hard) – Border Line of Truth

  1. Go to the Tactical Mountaintops Transporter No. 2 in The Mountaintops, White-Night Gulch.
  2. Take the blue floating platform or just walk towards the Borderline of Truth mission.
  3. Keep watch for elite enemies (two of them) as they drop the Advanced Neural Circuit.
  4. Restart the mission as many times as needed.

Crystallization Catalyst Blueprint

I recommend Hard mode for this one as the drop rates in Normal are too low.

  1. Farm The Shelter (Hard) dungeon in Timberfall, Vespers. Get as many Amorphous Material Pattern 078 as you can. Each run can take around five minutes even in a Public group.
  2. Go to the Devourer (Hard) in Void Intercept (Hard) with your Bunny and Thunder Cage in a Public squad. Kill the Devourer and open your Amorphous Material Pattern 078 collection. Bunny will have an easier time here.
  3. Rinse and repeat until you get your Crystallization Catalyst Blueprint(s).

An alternative would be Kingston – Magister Lab (Hard) for Amorphous Material Pattern 056 (4-5 minute run) and then opening them through Executioner (Hard) Void Intercept if you can handle it. Good luck!
