The First Descendant has your back this upcoming Valentine’s Day– assuming you’re not taken, because the game is bringing hot springs and some of the much-requested “jiggle physics” just in time for the occasion. The update/event, called Albion Hot Springs, is set to arrive on February 13.
Nexon Games itself announced the update on The First Descendant‘s official social media accounts with a complementary trailer showing how one of the game’s great strengths. The video specifically shows some of the game’s most popular characters all clad in bikinis (right in the middle of their winter-shrouded base). Also, hot springs are present in the trailer:
Somehow, summer came a little too early for The First Descendant and its player community. As for something else that came early, it would be none other than the jiggle physics showcase, which the developers have previously stated will be available in Season 3 which will happen sometime around March 2025. At the moment, the game is still in its ongoing Season 2 content phase.
Granted, the jiggle physics in the trailer would likely be limited to the hot springs event and might not be present in the actual gameplay– you know, the part where the game tasks you to grind for upgrades and shoot enemies. That still exists.
Additionally, the biggest reasons for the hot spring bikinis and the jiggle physics would be the overwhelming player requests for more revealing skins. Previously, the developers released a specific limited-time bikini for a new character, and some players wanted more. So the February 13 Hot Springs event for The First Descendant is something that will cater to such requests.
Will Jiggle Physics Help The First Descendant Bounce Back?
Meanwhile, the jiggle physics was also something present in The First Descendant‘s trailers but was somehow removed. So now, the devs are adding it back after overwhelming requests as well.
Last year, The First Descendant was actually among the breakout games of 2024, starting at a rather strong peak of 264,860 concurrent players on Steam, something that surpassed 2025’s Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 with its peak of 205,000 concurrent players. However, the game fell off in player count rather steeply and now only averages 8,700 players per day.
With the seasonal content and basically listening and granting player requests, The First Descendant is striving to usher back more of the players who left. For this year, however, it appears Nexon Games is already preparing for the worst, in case it cannot bring back The First Descendant to its previous height.
