It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s the wrong catchphrase for a hero. But, that doesn’t matter, you’ll forget about it after watching this new action infused trailer for Wonder Woman 84.
The movie will see a return of familiar faces (somehow) decades later and new ones that will pose a threat. Director Patty Jenkins returns behind the camera with Gal Gadot back in blue and gold.
Whatever is in this sequel to the 2017 film had Gadot crying while she called up Jenkins about it. See for yourself below, if this is going to be worth crying over below.
Wonder Records
Wonder Woman broke expectations in 2017 to gross over $800 million at the box office, while also breaking records at the time like becoming the highest-grossing superhero origin movie.
The film also was the biggest film directed by a woman before being dethroned by Captain Marvel earlier this year. Some other achievements include being the highest-grossing DCEU film, before being surpassed last December by Aquaman.
10 years ago, many would have laughed off someone saying that the man that talks to fish or the woman with invisible jet would outgross a Batman v Superman flick.
June 5, 2020, will see fans throwing up their arms and crossing them in anticipation for Wonder Woman 84…or is it Black Panther, maybe it’s actually X-Men. Either way, one of DC’s big three returns to the big screen next summer with all the bright colors of the ’80s in tow.
