After the annual The Game Awards 2015 award ceremony, Steam celebrates the winners and contenders by reducing the nominated games’ prices.
Among many other sites, The Nerd Stash simultaneously streamed The Game Awards, hosted by Geoff Keighley, last night, December 3, at 9 PM EST. The entertaining event included an abundance of surprise winners, unique award categories and ten world premiere game trailers. The best part of The Game Awards is obviously Steam’s corresponding game sales.
Steam is now offering some generous discounts on The Game Awards’ nominated titles. The unanticipated winner of a few award categories, Her Story, is marked down 40%, to a dirt-cheap $3.59. The mixed-reviewed Fighting game, Mortal Kombat X, also sports a 40% discount and can be picked up for $35.99. The packaged “Premium Edition” of Mortal Kombat X, which bundles the “Kombat Pack” DLC, is 50% off as well, saving you a total of $20.99.
Likely the best deal–due to being a major title and its relatively recent launch on November 19–Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate is discounted to $35.99. Comparative to Mortal Kombat X, Assassin’s Creed’s “Gold” bundle is also 40% off, at a total of $53.99.
The addictive multiplayer game, Rocket League, which was one of The Game Award winners, is marked down 30%, and another time-consuming winner, Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, can be snatched up for only $29.99. Tales from the Borderlands, The Elder Scrolls online, and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain also have attractive price tags. With so many acclaimed games’ prices slashed, it’s worth it to look below; one of these have to be on your wishlist–no matter the type of PC gamer you are.
The sale ends on December 5, 1 PM EST, so hurry up and grab these titles before it’s too late. What is your opinion on this year’s Game Awards?
