Geoff Keighley’s annual gaming awards and celebration show, The Game Awards 2020, will broadcast live tonight. Tune in at 6:30 p.m. EST/3:30 p.m. PT, with a preshow that starts 30 minutes before the main event, to watch which of your favorite titles will be crowned as the Game of The Year. And don’t forget, the stream will be jam-packed with exclusive announcements for many upcoming games too. Even if an award show isn’t your cup of tea, surprises surely await for gamers of all types.

The Awards and Reveals
In total, 30 awards will be given during the show. From the best titles in each genre, Innovation in Accessibility, the main event Game of the Year, to heavily contested awards in the gaming community such as Content Creator of the Year, Esports Event of the Year, and Esports Player of the year. As seen above, Game of the Year nominees are:
- Doom Eternal by id Software and Bethesda
- Final Fantasy VII Remake by Square Enix
- Ghost of Tsushima by Sucker Punch and Sony Interactive Entertainment
- Hades by Supergiant Games
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons by Nintendo
- The Last of Us Part II by Naughty Dog and Sony Interactive Entertainment
The Twitter account for The Game Awards has hinted at several announcements. Another “bounty hunter” will come to Fortnite‘s latest season after Kratos, a newcomer to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and new trailers for upcoming games such as Warhammer 40,000: Dark Tide, Elite Dangerous, Nier Replicant remake, The Elder Scrolls Online, and others. Also, The Game Awards 2020 has confirmed the appearance of a whole cast of celebrities. Including Ralph Macchio, Yuji Okumoto, Keanu Reeves, Brie Larson, Gal Gadot, Tom Holland, Christopher Nolan, former Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime, and more surprises.
