Former MTV star Spencer Pratt, known for his time on The Hills, just revealed that he lost his house in the California wildfires. The outspoken reality star recently shared a clip on his TikTok expressing concern about the growing fires that have taken over the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles County. “We have a fire going on behind the house here,” he said in the video shared almost 24 hours ago. “Say a prayer for the Palisades here. There’s the town, there’s the fire,” he said, showing the distance between the two. “That’s pretty black smoke,” he continued before saying he should “go home and start packing up the house.”
MTV Star’s Worst Nightmare Came True
After Spencer Pratt’s first TikTok, his wife, Heidi, posted a video of her own. In her clip, she asked her followers for “prayers” as she noticed the fire approaching their home. “It’s a mandatory evacuation. I’m gonna pack up here. Hopefully, we don’t have to leave, but all of the schools are being evacuated, and there’s flames,” she said before ending the video. Several hours after Spencer shared his first video to TikTok, the Marriage Boot Camp star shared another clip of flames that had taken over his house. “Nightmare came true,” he captioned the nearly two-minute-long video. Jenni Farley, aka JWOWW from Jersey Shore, commented, saying how “sorry” she was for Spencer and Heidi’s family.
Heidi and Spencer Pratt Are at a Loss for Words Over Losing Their House in LA Fires
In a final clip shared to TikTok, Heidi broke down in tears over the loss of her home fire. “I’m so sad our house is gone,” she said in the emotional video. “I really wish I could’ve gone back and got more,” she said before saying she didn’t think that was the “last time” she’d set foot in her home. “I really didn’t think it would be the last time we went into our house.” The reality star continued, sharing how devastated she was for the people experiencing such tragic losses. “It’s really hard to lose your house and everything you’ve worked so hard for,” she finished.
Fires Caused More Than 30,000 LA Residents To Evacuate
On Wednesday, January 8, multiple fires burning in Los Angeles, California, caused 30,000 residents to evacuate their homes. The Pacific Palisades fire was first reported on Tuesday, January 7, at around 10 AM. Since then, the fire has grown to 15,800 acres with zero containment. A second fire began Tuesday night, burning nearly 11,000 acres as of Wednesday morning. According to officials, there have been “a number of significant injuries” to those residents who did not evacuate, leaving two dead. California Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency before thanking the “first responders who jumped quickly into fighting this dangerous fire.”
Meanwhile, on Instagram, Spencer Pratt shared a photo of his son’s bedroom, saying the only “positive sign” of their loss was that the “bed burned in the shape of a heart.” He continued: “A sign of how much love was in this house, so thankful for all the years and memories there with our family.”
Other stars also spoke out about losing their homes, including Cameron Mathison from General Hospital.
“We are safe. But this is what’s left of our beautiful home. Our home where our kids were raised and where they wanted to raise their own someday. Thanks to all who reached out and checked in. Can’t respond to all so wanted to give an update here. Sending so many prayers to everyone being affected by these fires.”
