PC gaming enthusiasts can now relish that they can play The Last of Us Part 1 without breaking their wallets too much, unlike PlayStation 5 players who had to shell out a considerable sum when it first launched in September. Sony’s move to make their highly acclaimed first-party games accessible to PC players has resulted in yet another addition to the lineup with The Last of Us Part 1. Initially met with skepticism by some fans when it was remade last year, the game has since garnered widespread acclaim, paving the way for its expansion to PC. Joining other hit PlayStation titles like Spider-Man, God of War, Returnal, and Horizon Zero Dawn on PC, Sony’s efforts to cater to a wider audience continue to be successful.
The Last of Us Part 1 PC Port is Cheaper than PS5
The Last of Us Part 1 is now available on Steam and Epic Games Store for PC players at a lower price of $60, with an optional $10 Digital Deluxe Edition Upgrade. This is a good deal compared to the $70 price tag for first-party PS5 titles, making it an attractive option for players, actually. The game is widely praised for its engaging storyline, immersive gameplay, and memorable characters, and its availability on PC is a welcome development.
The Last of Us Part 1 has been released on PC as a remake, and its lower price point of $60 compared to other recent remakes like Resident Evil 4 may be due to its status as a remake. However, considering that this is the first time the game has been available on PC, it could have been priced higher at $70. Given the game’s rocky launch on PC and the mostly negative reviews on Steam, a lower price point may be a wise decision for the time being.
