Two more celebrity contestants exited The Masked Singer during the Week 5 episode, leaving judges and the rest of the world in disbelief following their unmasking. The week’s episode of The Masked Singer saw Robo Girl sing to defend her crown against contenders Beetle and Lambs. However, things did not exactly pan out well for the masked celebrity, who eventually took the back door.
Judges Guessed Lambs, Robo Girl and Beetle’s Identities
Wednesday’s Muppet night started with Kermit the Frog performing Rainbow Connection with host Nick Cannon and judges Jenny McCarthy, Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger, and Ken Jeong. Following the thrilling session, the reigning Queen Robo Girl took to the stage to belt out her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, backed by Kermit. Her performance earned her a note of commendation from a visibly impressed Scherzinger.
Robo Girl also offered another clue about her identity, flaunting a photo of Lindsay Lohan and asking, “does this mean anything to you?” in her clue package. Miss Piggy, who joined the panel this week, received 20 seconds to ask each masked celebrity as many questions as possible. Seizing her chance, she quizzed Robo Girl about her favorite color and her profession. Having answered “pink” and “actor,” respectively, judges guessed Robo Girl might be America Ferrera, Zendaya, or Lisa Koshy.
Beetle came on stage next, offering his own clues, including a gavel and glasses, before rendering the Frank Sinatra song, The Way You Look Tonight. Piggy quizzed him about his Emmy wins, asking if he was known for his hair color. In the end, the panel guessed Mike Myers, Jerry Springer, Rowan Atkinson, or John Larroquette as Beetle’s identity.
Next, the lambs offered clues about being best friends from childhood and idolizing Miss Piggy. The trio then crooned Kathy Perry’s “Hot N Cold,” which The Masked Singer judge McCartney admitted was her favorite performance of week 5. Following Piggy’s question about which celebrities they worked with in the past, the judges guessed the Kardashian sisters, The Chicks, and Haim as their possible identities.
Who Was Unmasked On The Masked Singer Week 5?
After the three contestants performed, Cannon gave the go-ahead for the voting to commence to decide who went home first. Beetle had the lowest votes. 78-year-old Jerry Springer, who McCartney guessed earlier, emerged under the insect’s mask, to everyone’s surprise.
Robo Girl and Lambs moved on to the next phase, competing in the Battle Royale. After belting out their rendition of Call Me by blondie, the judges voted out Robo Girl. Thus, she became the second eliminated contestant on The Masked Singer Week 5.
The long-anticipated moment eventually came, and Robo Girl unmasked to reveal actress Kat Graham. The discovery especially fazed Scherzinger that her friend had been under the mask the whole time, and she had no idea. She quipped:
“I feel like Ken right now. When you know the person, when they’re your friend and hey unmask, you’re like, ‘Oh dang! I can’t believe I didn’t get it!'”
With Robo Girl and Beetle’s identities unveiled, the Week 5 episode of The Masked Singer came to a close, with Lambs as the new Queens.
