The Owl House Season 3 Episode 3: Watching and Dreaming
Watching and Dreaming will be the third and final episode of the third season of The Owl House. It will serve as the finale of the series, which has been running since the premiere of its first episode, A Lying Witch and a Warden, on January 10, 2020.
When The Owl House was canceled in 2021, it was announced that Disney had ordered the third season to be reduced to three 44 minute specials. The first of these, Thanks to Them, aired on October 15, 2022. The second of these, For the Future, aired on January 21, 2o23.
For the Future was actually 48 minutes long rather than 44 minutes, indicating that creator Dana Terrace may have convinced Disney to allow her to do more than originally planned.
This seems to be confirmed true by the rumor that Watching and Dreaming will be 55 minutes long, 11 minutes longer than Thanks to Them, and about 7 minutes longer than For the Future.
With the release of The Owl House season 3 episode 3, Watching and Dreaming, The Owl House will officially come to an end. At this time, there are confirmed projects in the works to continue the story.
There was supposed to be a light novel based on the series to be released sometime in the future, but creator Dana Terrace confirmed that it was also canceled as well due to the publishers refusing to pay a fair amount to the writers.
Watching and Dreaming will reportedly air on Disney Channel and Disney XD on April 8, 2023, at 9 PM EST/6 PM PST.
