The time has come, my fellow travelers. One of the most anticipated Special Programs of Genshin Impact has finally happened, and I’m talking about the one for Version 5.3. This upcoming version will see the debut of Maviuka and Citatli as playable characters, two new outfits for some of Liuye’s most iconic Pyro fighters, the beloved Lantern Rite event, and many more things. Lately, Natlan has been nailing it in every aspect. The story has been great; the new gameplay additions have been welcomed by many, and overall, Genshin Impact is at its finest right now.
Mavuika Comes Drifting to Natlan in Genshin Impact 5.3
The long-awaited Pyro Archon is finally coming to Genshin Impact, as we recently saw in the latest Special Program. Mavuika will use her motorcycle for combat and exploration while also wielding a Claymore for the former, in case you want to start planning her build. However, she isn’t the only new Natlan character coming to the fray. The Cryo user Citlali will also debut in 5.3, wielding a Catalyst to provide shields for her team. Outside of the new banners, players can expect the re-runs of Arlecchino and Clorinde, both banners featuring Lan Yan, a new 4-star character from Liyue.
Natlan’s Archon Quest Is Heating Up
Banners aside, the latest Special Program for Genshin Impact 5.3 also gave us a glimpse at the upcoming Archon Quest’s new act. It seems Mauvika will finally take up the fight against the Abyss, and she won’t do it alone. Travelers will finally get their Pyro element and accompany Natlan’s Archon to the definitive bout. So far, Natlan’s narrative has been great and players have loved the direction the story is taking. We can all expect a heated encounter when the update lands on January 1, 2025.
The Lantern Rite Brings New Outfits for Two of Liyue’s Most Iconic Pyro Characters
For those looking to dress up more of their characters, Hu Tao and Xiangling are getting new outfits. Xiangling’s one will be free as part of the Lantern Rite event. In it, players can expect the event’s story, mini-games, and a lot of rewards to celebrate one of Genshin Impact‘s most iconic seasonal events. And if you want to increase your Liyue roster, there will also be a 4-star character selector, so start thinking about who you’ll choose to join your team.
Overall, Version 5.3 will be incredible for all Genshin Impact players, but that wasn’t everything the Special Program had to show. Travelers can also get a free glider, 1,600 Primogems, 10 Intertwined Fates, and more gameplay additions. So, dust off your team and prepare to start 2025 with a bang.
