The Sims released a lot of creative expansions since it’s inception in 2000, but the trailer for their latest addition tops all of them. Earlier today, the game’s YouTube page released an eerie new trailer for an upcoming game pack, The Sims 4: Vampires, set to Snakes by ZZ Ward.
It revealed that the life simulation video game will give players the ability to turn Sims into all-powerful, immortal vampires.

First and foremost comes the ability to capability to change each character’s appearance to a variety of different vampire. From Dracula to Edward Cullen, the customization options for appearance (body and clothing) are nearly endless, an important feature considering the amount of time the average gamer frets over character creation in games.
If The Sims is known for anything more fervently than its character customization, it’s got to be the housing and decor design aspect. Vampires will feature a bevy of unique furniture and items – including coffins in which make whoopie in – to decorate each forgotten hollow.
The characters themselves will also receive some special perks, as no vampire is truly complete without supernatural powers. The trailer showcased vampires with superspeed, hypnotism, shadow bending and of course neck biting to turn humans into bloodsuckers themselves.
No price has been announced yet for The Sims 4: Vampires – though the game packs generally range from $10-30 respectively – but the game pack has been confirmed for release on January 24, 2017.
