Nintendo has just announced the date of one of its long-awaited Nintendo Direct, and to everyone’s surprise, it will take place tomorrow, June 18, 2024. The company will announce upcoming projects for the second half of 2024 during this live show. Let’s hope for exclusive video games from Nintendo and third-party companies. However, they were very clear not to expect any information about a Nintendo Switch 2 or any kind of successor to the current console. This is undoubtedly due to all the rumors that have been going around the internet for some time now.
Although the fan community doesn’t know what to expect from this Nintendo Direct, among the discussion, many believe that more ports or remakes of some games will be coming. Others have more positive hopes for some Fire Emblem or a Metroid Prime game, even for the Twilight Princess remake. One of the biggest bets is for the announcement of more SNES, NES, or N64 titles. It’s also worth remembering that Nintendo has plans for The Legend of Zelda movie, so it wouldn’t be unreasonable to think that there will be some teaser, or so many of us would like to believe.
Those not so hopeful expect some repertoire about indie games or more farm simulator games. Of course, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD will be released on June 27, so this presentation could cover more of its gameplay or some other surprises for this new version. Be that as it may, this Nintendo Direct, like their previous presentations, will bring something for all fans to enjoy. While the big three have their separate events now, it is nice to see Nintendo riding that Summer train. Summer Game Fest was a bit bittersweet in most ways, so maybe the Japanese giant will sweeten the season. So, set a date for the Nintendo Direct on June 18, 2024, at 7:00 am PT, on Nintendo of America’s official YouTube channel.
