There’s no doubt that there’s a lot of people excited for The Survivalists. Those especially excited are fans of The Escapists titles, which The Survivalists developers made before starting this game. With all the features it has and the vast island to explore, one thing that was missing was a way to collect all the resources efficiently. Today, Team17 has revealed just that. In a new trailer posted to the Team17 Youtube channel, we now know that The Survivalists will have helper monkeys to assist you.

The Survivalists Monkey Feature Trailer

As shown in the video, you can get the helper monkeys to complete different tasks for you. You have the warrior professions, which will hunt different animals for you to get food. With that comes the Archer, which does a similar task but with a bow. If assistance with enemies isn’t what you need, you can hire Craftsman monkeys to build various items and structures for you. There are many more monkey types for you to get to help you with whatever you need which should please autonomy lovers.

You’ll be able to use all these monkeys to your advantage when The Survivalists drops later this year. Haven’t heard of the game? It’s an upcoming sandbox survival game from Team17. You’ll know them from games like Overcooked, My Time at Portia, and of course The Escapists. The game takes place in The Escapists universe and tasks you with surviving on a deserted island. If solo survival isn’t what you fancy, you can bring up to three other friends along for the ride. The game will release on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One so you can survive on your island of choice! If you’re planning to get it on PC, you can wishlist the game here.

Will you be playing The Survivalists on release? Did you play through any of The Escapists games? Let us know, and stay tuned at The Nerd Stash for more news, reviews, and more!
