In the age of social media, some influencers become so focused on filming the “perfect” piece of content in public that they forget basic courtesy, turning ordinary places like restaurants, gyms, and shops into stages for behavior that can come off as downright obnoxious. With that backdrop in mind, a New Jersey influencer recently captured a heated confrontation with a man at a restaurant after accusing him of sitting too close to her. The moment has since begun circulating online, with many viewers weighing in on the tense exchange.
The video is recorded from the perspective of the New Jersey influencer at the heart of the drama, and opens in what appears to be a sunny beer garden within a restaurant. Straightway, the woman filming snaps at the man sat next to her, saying, “Sweetheart, I’m not trying to be funny, but look how close you are to me. I don’t even have room to turn my back and fart.” Without skipping a beat, the man next to her fires back with, “This is the way that Jesus sat. Yeah, record me. I’m sitting in my space.”
Awkwardly, and with a touch of entitlement, the woman replies, “I make videos for a living and I let people know. Please don’t sit so close. Have respect for the person next to you. I’m on the phone. He’s in my [expletive] conversation.” Hilariously, however, there’s a plot twist: the seat right next to the influencer on the other side is empty. “Look how much space is on the right. There’s nobody there.” exclaims the man, angrily.
The influencer, however, continues harassing the man, and even attempts to blackmail him into moving seats, saying, “I’ll delete it if you move. Just move.” However, the man sticks to his guns and tells her that he doesn’t care if she deletes it or not. Instead, he asks her to simply move her seat over to the right, which is empty. At the end of the video, the man states, “You’re the one who looks silly.”
As the awkward clip continues to make the rounds online, netizens flocked to the comments to air their thoughts. On TikTok, one user wrote, “Always out to start trouble” while another chimed in with, “Show us the right!!!😂” A third penned, “She’ll run into the “right one” one day…” while a fourth added, “Jesus always looking for trouble“.
