The Princess of Wales is enduring cancer, the Duke of York lacks any proper accountability as a royal, and the drama the Sussexes continue to stir up seems to have no end — yet despite battling serious illness himself, King Charles will let “nothing stop him from enjoying his reign and promoting his principles and values to Britain and the world.”
Royal biographer Christopher Andersen tells Fox News Digital that, amid all the heartache or fuss his children cause him, King Charles aims to send a message that “the monarchy is strong and moving forward, regardless of the medical crises that have befallen the House of Windsor.” Royal expert Hilary Fordwich clarifies to Fox that Charles is more than “aware that time is ticking,” given his “current health crisis” and aging condition. Regardless, His Royal Highness still “wants to make his mark” and prove to everyone that he’s no “lazy monarch.”
Recently, it’s well-known that “chubby” Prince Andrew is enjoying the “benefits of being royal without the responsibility and the scrutiny” of the public, per The Sun. It must be a challenge to deal with a prince who does little but “go out riding, playing golf, and just watching television,” but King Charles is finally forcing his hand by giving Andrew the boot from the Royal Lodge, sending him to Frogmore Cottage.
This, of course, signifies that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are no longer welcome at their previous royal home. But the King doesn’t stop there; Tom Quinn revealed to the Mirror that Charles has taken a step further to establish his authority with the wayward prince, directly telling the Duke of Sussex not “to write or say publicly anything further about the family or his brother that might cause trouble.” Quinn goes on to say that there would “be consequences if [Harry] did not obey.”
Despite the past rumors by the New York Post that plans for King Charles’ funeral are “being updated regularly,” Queen Camilla herself has stated Charles “won’t slow down,” according to Sky News. For instance, he presented New Colours to the Irish Guard on June 10 amid his ongoing battle with cancer. King Charles even wishes to keep in touch with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, despite his rift with the parents, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. “Judging by the number of engagements he is undertaking and the energy he has shown during them,” royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams claims that such endeavors, including the two above, are clear indications he’s recovering.
The words of Royals expert Hilary Fordwich describe King Charles perfectly and his “workaholic” determination to press forward until his final breath:
“Every single one of the projects he has undertaken is designed to make a real mark. They are not just honorary where he shows up once in a while. He has devoted his life to having an impact.”
