For quite a while now, Timothee Chalamet and Kylie Jenner‘s mysterious relationship has been simply that: a mystery. While there are some rumors that they prefer to keep their relationship more quiet, and others that believe their relationship is purely for PR reasons, we don’t really know what’s going on behind closed doors. At the Palm Springs International Fil Festival, a reporter asked him about how it felt to have Kylie’s support among all the impressive achievements he’s earned, and fans are absolutely appalled.
During the Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival, Timothee Chalamet and Gary Oldman were seen backstage speaking with reporters. While the interaction started out amazing, and Chalamet was commended by Oldman for his impressive role as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, Chalamet spoke out about how much of an honor it was for Oldman to give such praise to him. However, before too long, the Entertainment Tonight reporter stepped in and asked a question deemed “totally disrespectful” by fans.
The reporter started out by asking, “You have a lot of supporters in here. I know you also brought your partner in crime, Kylie, here. What’s it like to have her here supporting you on a night like this?” To this, Chalamet responded, “It’s a great feeling to be in a room with so much love and so many great peers and people that are fantastic.” He comments on enjoying seeing the “new generation” there as well as those that have been around for a while and have been “holding it down for decades plus.” Throughout his response, he didn’t mention Kylie a single time, which fans definitely had something to say about.
“The way he kept it professional and did not mention Kylie,” one comment read, which another said “He completely shut your reporter down. Totally disrespectful question and the fact you use it as a headline for a 5 second clip. It was an awards event to celebrate this years performances.” Another followed up with “Guys Timothee doesn’t even talk about Kylie here,” which only goes to show that Timothee had his focus on the event’s purpose: his achievements. “Why are people so invested in his romantic relationships. Timothee is so much than who’s dating. This is about film and him making art.“
The comments section is entirely correct, and they made it known. However, Chalamet’s reaction to the question might have tipped the scale in one direction when it comes to the legitimacy of his relationship and what his fans think is happening. Is the whole relationship nothing more than a PR stunt?
