Character Creation
Before you begin your adventure, you must create a character. You can choose from the following options:

- Pattern
- Coloring
Outfits are limited in the beginning. However, once you head to the island and begin fixing it up, you can visit the Tuxedosam shop for more clothing options. If you are ever confused about where an item is, you can always find information about it. Open your Inventory and select the item you want to find. There’s an “Info” button that you can choose. It will show you all the help you need to locate it.

Crafting Guide
To continue our Hello Kitty Island Adventure walkthrough, let’s discuss crafting. You can’t discover all items as loot. Instead, you must craft several items. You’ll need Crafting Plans to create anything, and you can get them from these places:
- Treasure Chests
- Tasks
- Characters
Oftentimes the character that gives you a crafting task will also give you the Crafting Plans. Otherwise, keep looting the island and you’ll stumble upon them as well as resources. Remember to head northeast of the Resort to Chococat’s Tent. It’s here that you will find the Crafting Table. Under the Crafting Menu, you’ll see all the Plans you’ve unlocked.

Navigating the island in Hello Kitty Island Adventure can take some time. However, you can make things easier with Fast Travel and swimming.
Fast Travel unlocks after you complete Kuromi’s “Delivery Service” quest. It’s through Cinnamoroll that you will learn how to access the Fast Travel Mailboxes. You must first Chococat’s “Power Up the Gate quest beforehand as that will unlock the Spooky Swamp needed for Kuromi’s quest.
Swimming unlocks around the same time. In the Spooky Swamp, speak with Keroppi to get the Crafting Plans for Flippers. With them, you can swim with ease.
Camera Guide
We feel our Hello Kitty Island Adventure walkthrough isn’t complete without talking about the Camera. The Camera tool allows you to commemorate your time on the island with Hello Kitty and Friends. But you must unlock it first. It’s straightforward, thankfully. Just speak to Pochacco once you give him his Welcome Gift. He’ll talk about the Gudetama and you’ll gain the Camera tool.
