It has been known for some time that the ‘Heroes In a Half-Shell’ were going to be part of Injustice 2. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has now released footage of the turtle quartet in action fighting Brainiac and Black Manta. In addition to some of the sick turtle ninjitsu moves, we also get a glimpse of some of the cutscenes that feature the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. As expected they have the same tongue in cheek humor the franchise is known for.
While Michelangelo, Leonardo, Raphael, and Donatello can be played as individual characters, the gameplay footage shows that other turtles will jump onto the screen to help finish off an attack. It appears to be somewhat like when Harley Quinn summons her dogs to attack her opponent.
The specific turtle you play as can be determined by equipping the sword, bo, sais, or nunchucks in your character loadout. You would then play as the turtle who typically uses those weapons. From the trailer though, it looks like Michelangelo uses a skateboard as a weapon almost as much as his nunchucks.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be part of the Injustice 2 Fighter Pack #3. The pack will release February 13th, 2018. If you have a favorite and only want a single turtle, they can be bought individually as of February 20th, 2018. Fighter Pack #3 will also include The Atom and Enchantress as playable characters in Injustice 2.
