Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle’s The Last Ronin has been one of the most popular TMNT graphic novels to date. The dark graphic novel series set in a distant future depicts only one of the turtles alive, thirsty for revenge. TMNT’s The Last Ronin is getting a game adaptation inspired by God of War.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin is getting a 3rd person action RPG, AAA video game by an unnamed studio, likely "a few years off" from release. The title is inspired by the recent God of War titles https://t.co/EhmqddLjcn pic.twitter.com/hlPCr7ne0T

Polygon was the first to report the announcement of the untitled TMNT The Last Ronin game and it’s evident that the title is going to take a drastically different approach in contrast to what we’ve seen from Shredder’s Revenge.
The Senior VP of Games over at Paramount Global, Doug Rosen had some information to share. He stated that the Last Ronin will be a 3rd-Person RPG that hones inspiration from titles the likes of God of War and God of War Ragnarok.
Obviously, players will get to play as The Last Ronin but we might get to see some other Ninja turtles in action too.
But which studio is working on the game? We don’t know yet. And when will the game come out? Not sure on that front too. Rosen didn’t confirm which studio was leading the project, but he did tell Polygon that it’ll be a few years till we get to see any updates or reveals regarding the title.
TMNT has seen a good year so far. The Turtles are making their way to Roblox along with a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem feature film.
So what do you think of a God of War Inspired TMNT: The Last Ronin? Will it stand up against the likes of God of War or will it come tumbling down? Can we expect to see some sneak peeks of it in 2024? We don’t know yet. But stay tuned for more on the Nerdstash. Till then, let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
