Tom Brady will be the first roast subject on the Netflix special Greatest Roasts of All Time: GROAT. The streaming service described the National Football League (NFL) quarterback as “Gisele Bündchen’s husband.” Tom Brady will be the first of the Netflix series of roasts. His roast will be the “greatest football player of all time.” Robbie Praw, the Netflix vice president expressed their excitement to roast the professional athlete in their roast series. Brady is executive producing the multi-roast deal through 199 Productions. Casey Patterson through Casey Patterson Entertainment and Jeff Ross and Carol Donovan will executive produce the series. Netflix hasn’t released any other information besides the deal with the NFL quarterback. Brady said regarding the deal, “To quote my good friend, Marshawn Lynch … ‘I’m just here so I won’t get fined.” He has also signed on to be an NFL analyst for Fox Sports.

The NFL quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had announced his retirement from the sport. Two months later, he changed his mind about retiring. Tom Brady’s deal with Fox Sports as an analyst is said to be worth $375 million. He is one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, despite the deflated ball controversies. His deal with Fox Sports and the Netflix roast series is not his first rodeo with television. The NFL quarterback made a guest appearance on Saturday Night Live in 2005. He also voiced himself in The Simpsons and Family Guy and appeared in the sixth season of Entourage, the Entourage movie, and Ted 2. Now Tom Brady will be the subject of a roast. He has had a long and lucrative athletic career, so now he is turning to show business.
It will be interesting to see who Netflix chooses to roast Tom Brady in the series. The roast of the NFL quarterback will be taped in 2023.
