Tom Holland and Zendaya have been one of Hollywood’s fan-favorite couples for some time now. After their meeting on the Spider-Man set, the two have been together for a while now. However, fans have been voicing some very loud criticisms regarding Tom’s recent comments about his girlfriend. Holland opened up about his anxiety as well as how he checks up on his partner from time to time. Although it seems to be coming from a place of love, fans still found it a bit weird.
A recent episode of the On The Menu podcast reports via YouTube that Tom Holland admitted to Googling Zendaya occasionally to ensure she is alright. Holland goes on to explain that he is not on social media. In order to calm his anxiety, sometimes the fastest way for the actor is to just give his partner a quick Google. However, fans did not care for this one bit. They were quick to call Holland out for being “creepy.” They also said that it “sounds like he’s insecure.”

Those same fans then went to the comment section to voice more of their opinions.
“Sounds like he’s insecure,” one said.
“This is a bit creepy,” wrote another.
Finally, another stated, “Maybe he is or perhaps just very protective of her well-being. He seems to treat her with great care, and it appears she is very precious to him.“
It would seem as though most fans are against this move from Holland. However, the Spider-Man star does still have some supporters.
Tom has been known to be very protective of Zendaya. Recently, while the two were out on a dinner date, the 28-year-old guarded her from some swarming paparazzi. The MCU star can be seen politely moving a paparazzi to make room for the Euphoria actress as they left the Nine Orchard Hotel. The two then walked off while holding hands. That same night, Tom had to clear a path through some excited fans as they stopped to sign some autographs.
Zendaya and Tom Holland have been quite busy lately. Tom is preparing for Spider-Man 4 as his girlfriend is busty with the Dune films. This could be another reason as to why Holland feels the need to check up on her via Google. Without social media, it might be hard to stay in the loop.
Despite what some fans think, it seems as though Zendaya doesn’t mind Tom Holland’s Googling. The couple appears to be continuing to thrive together. Although they are seemingly spending some time apart due to their careers, they should be reuniting soon for the next Spider-Man film. Hopefully, that will be enough to calm Tom’s anxiety for the time being. However, there is no official timetable for the filming to begin.
