Tomb Raider has seen a considerable resurgence in the last couple of years, featuring two successful games and an upcoming movie remake (Sorry Angelina Jolie). It looks like Square Enix will be introducing the next installment in the game series pretty soon as well.
An hour ago, the game’s official Twitter account pinned a tweet detailing when fans could expect more news on the next installment in the franchise.
Square Enix is excited to share some big news with you next year. Honestly, we wish we could share it with you right now, but we’re taking a new approach this time.

While there are plenty of big gaming events that the statement could be hinting at, everything points to the release of the affirmationย upcoming film remakeย Tomb Raider.ย The movie stars Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft and is scheduled to hit theaters on March 16, 2018.
