Victoria Jones, the 34-year-old daughter of actor Tommy Lee Jones, was found unresponsive at the San Francisco Fairmont Hotel early Thursday, Jan. 1, and later pronounced dead. 911 dispatch audio revealed the call was classified as a “code 3 for the overdose, color change,” suggesting a suspected drug overdose.
Emergency Response and Dispatch Details
The San Francisco Police and Fire Department arrived at the Fairmont at 2:52 a.m. in response to reports of a medical emergency. Officials confirmed they found a deceased individual on the scene.
It was later reported that the woman is believed to be Victoria, citing a police source. A police spokesperson stated they “do not suspect foul play” in her death, though the official cause has not yet been determined.
In overdose terminology, “color change” refers to cyanosis, characterized by low oxygen levels in the blood, resulting in a blue or purple discoloration of the skin, lips, and nails, according to the Cleveland Clinic. As originally reported by TMZ, the 911 dispatch audio captured the severity of the situation, classifying it as a “code 3… color change.”
Tommy Lee Jones’ Daughter’s Life and Struggles
Victoria was the daughter of Tommy, 79, and his ex-wife Kimberlea Cloughley. She followed her father into acting, appearing in Men in Black II (2002), The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2005), and an episode of One Tree Hill (2003).
Per People, she also faced legal issues in the months before her death. On April 28, 2025, Victoria was arrested in Napa County for three misdemeanors, including “being under the influence of a controlled substance without a valid prescription” and drug possession. She pleaded not guilty. Two months later, she was detained again for misdemeanor domestic battery and entered another not guilty plea on July 1.
