What should have been a minor incident quickly escalated into a chaotic verbal confrontation when an elderly man in South Carolina took matters too far, making aggressive gestures and threatening to call ICE.
A video posted on TikTok showed the man standing on the street with his shirt tucked into his jeans, his belt tightly fastened. A voice from behind the camera could be heard addressing him as he approached. “You gonna walk up on me? That’s what you really wanna do?” the person recording asked. “Oh, let me go get ICE,” the man responded mockingly, making exaggerated sounds as he moved closer to the camera. He grinned widely, revealing that he was toothless. “You are so [expletive] stupid,” he shouted, continuing to make aggressive gestures that appeared intended to intimidate the person filming. “What’s your name?” the woman repeatedly asked, but the question was met only with curse words. The man eventually walked back to his car, seemingly satisfied with the confrontation, but not before teasing the N-word as the woman recording dared him to say it.
According to the caption shared by TikTok user Slossyshouse, the video captured only part of the incident. She explained that her daughter and future son-in-law had been picking up food at Wasabi in Summerville (near Charleston) and had parked behind the man’s vehicle.
The caption alleged that the man began yelling at them to move their car and even brandished a weapon. The recorded confrontation occurred after her daughter returned to the vehicle. The family has since filed a police report and is actively seeking to identify the man. The video sparked intense reactions online, with many users expressing outrage.
“The real threat to America,” a user fired. Another added, “I swear this administration has made people so bold.” A user commented, “It’s a war beyond flesh & blood,” while another wrote, “Honey, these folks really think they’re back in the 50’s.” A fifth commenter questioned the behavior, asking, “Why do they all act like emotionally unstable kids?” Another commenter directly blamed political leadership, writing, “The person in the White House has emboldened the whole minority of racists in America to act out.”
One user expressed anger and called on the internet to identify the man, saying, “Senile old man in a handicap parking spot. Gramps, go home. We all see that license plate. Internet, do your thing!”
More outrage followed as another user wrote, “Nothing more dangerous than a low IQ individual with a weapon,” while someone else criticized how the man parked, adding, “Real cute how he’s parked in the disabled stall. Must be dain bramaged. Drunk [expletive] POS.” Another person framed the incident politically, stating, “This is exactly what is expected of MAGA goons.” A user also pointed out a gender dynamic, writing, “Wowwwwww. Always harassing a woman wouldn’t ever do that to a man.” Another commenter concluded, “This is how Trump likes them.”
While this man threatened to involve ICE, such incidents are not isolated.
