Dave the Diver offers hundreds of mouthwatering seafood dishes that you can serve for Bancho Sushi customers. All are freshly caught from the six depths of the Blue Hole. Considering the vast number of recipes you can unlock, prepare, and upgrade, picking which one to focus on could be overwhelming. So which dishes are the best to be cooked for the early, mid, late, and end game portions? We have hand-picked the 10 best options for you below.
10. Moray Eel Curry
Moray Eel Curry is a very cost-efficient early-game menu item. You don’t want to make dishes with only one ingredient because it doesn’t sell well compared to recipes that require additional fish, seasoning, or plants. Boiled Yellowback Fusilier can also be a decent alternative, although it won’t fetch as many Coins as this Curry. It is cooked using Moray Eel and Turmeric and unlocked once you reach Cooksta Silver Rank.
9. Seagrapes Jellyfish Sushi – Best Early Game Dishes in Dave The Diver
Reach Medium Depth and win your first VIP Mission, “Gourmet Vincent’s Challenge,” to unlock this dish. The Seagrapes Sushi is another great choice for focusing on during early game. Quickly enhance the recipe, and you can easily boost your Cooksta Rank to Platinum. It sells for 225 Coins at base Level and 832 at maximum, with quite a high Taste level to boot. Prepare it by using Sea Grape, White Spotted Jellyfish, and Salt.
8. Dried Stingray
If you’re looking to make some money, then Dried Stingray is a good choice to make. Despite its rather low Taste, the price is quite decent. Sold for 400 Coins at Level 1 and 1,480 at max Level. You need to train Carolina to Level 15 first, then collect Starry Skate, Stingray Meat, Marbled Electric Ray Meat, and Salt. However, Stingrays are pretty rare in Glacial Passage, so getting them could be a bit of a hassle if you can’t farm the ingredients yet.
7. Dumbo Takoyaki – Best End Game Dishes in Dave The Diver
Dumbo Takoyaki is one of the must-cook dishes once you reach the end game portion of Dave the Diver. You will have to unlock Cooksta Diamond Rank first, then cook it with Dumbo Octopus, Wheat, and Mayonnaise. A relatively simple dish that sells at 420 Coins at Level 1 and 1,554 Coins at Level 10. Especially if you’ve unlocked the Fish Farm and don’t use Wheat often.
6. Three-Colored Squid Roast

You should be able to easily collect the ingredients for this dish once you reach Glacial Passage. Peacock Squid, Vampire Squid, and Cuttlefish are very easy to catch and farm. The dish itself serves 12 and is sold for 400 Coins or 1,480 at Level 10. Train Liu to Level 15 to unlock the recipe.
5. Roasted Tropical Fish and Garlic – Best Late Game Dishes in Dave The Diver
This one is unlocked once you reach the late game and have trained Tohoku to Level 15. Nevertheless, the ingredients are very easy to acquire. Blue Tang, Clownfish, and Pyramid Butterflyfish are all found in the Shallows, while Garlic is from the Vegetable Farm. Like the Squid Roast, this 9-serving dish is sold for 400 Coins or 1,480 at Level 10.
4. Special Fried Shrimp Sushi
This is the best one-serving dish with the highest cost-to-profit ratio, in my opinion. Rice should be easy to obtain, and you should stock up on quite a bit of Olive Oil at this point. Meanwhile, Shrimp is easy to access even without the Farm. Sold for 380 Coins at base Level and 1,406 at Level 10. Cook it with Black Tiger Shrimp, Whiteleg Shrimp, Rice, and Olive Oil. You have to train Drae to Level 5 to unlock this recipe.
3. Crimson Fish Roll
The Crimson Fish Roll is one of the best dishes in Dave the Diver since the recipes only need fish and no Rice, Salt, or other ingredients. This menu also works great during a Shark Party. Clown Frogfish, Red Bream, and Rhinochimaeridae can be easily farmed through diving Medium Depth and Depth or farming. Train Billy to Level 15 to unlock this dish, and you can sell it for 400 Coins without upgrades and 1,480 Coins at Level 10.
2. Deep Fish Tempura
Deep Fish Tempura contains easy-to-get ingredients when you’ve arrived at Glacial Passage. It takes a while to get there, and you need to complete the “Whose Fried food is the Best?” VIP Mission. But the journey will be worthwhile, considering it sold at 395 Coins without upgrades and 1,461 at the max Level. All you need are Cookiecutter Shark, Vampire Squid, Barreleye, and Kelp.
1. Tropical Fish Sushi Set – Best Mid to Late Game Dishes in Dave The Diver
Undeniably, this is the best dish that you can prepare in Dave the Diver. The recipe should be unlocked in mid-game when you’ve completed “Michael Bang’s Inspiration” VIP Mission. But the ingredients are extremely easy to collect and can easily carry you all the way to the late game. All you need are Coral Trout, Harlequin Hind, Titan Triggerfish, and Rice. Sells for 375 Coins at base Level and 1,387 Coins at max Level.
