Diablo 4’s second season is the Season of Blood which introduces new Vampiric Abilities as well as powerful opponents. Your characters fought hard to bring you to the end of the campaign but they might not be good enough for future challenges. Experimenting with different character builds is fun though they might not be powerful enough for future challenges.
There are several builds that help you succeed in the Season of Blood but some are better than others. Supplemented with the proper Vampiric Powers and equipment, they will cut through the new enemies whether solo or in a group. Here are Diablo 4’s best builds for Season 2 to help you decide how you should build your character.
Build #1: Whirlwind Barbarian
The Whirlwind Barbarian build focuses on cutting down enemies with the Whirlwind skill. With the right skill investments and equipment, you can cut down swaths of enemies as long as you have enough Fury. There are some pre-battle preparations such as Lunging Strike to gather Fury and Rallying Cry to boost Fury generation. But once the build foundations are laid out, you have an effective crowd control method that’s hard to top.
With Vampiric Powers such as Accursed Touch and Bathe in Blood, you can deal increased damage while inflicting Vampiric Curse. It’s a powerful combination that makes you stronger while hitting several enemies. Minor Powers such as Prey on the Weak inflict the Vulnerable status on enemies and make them take more damage from your Whirlwind.

Build #2: Twisting Blades Rogue
The Twisting Blades Rogue build focuses on AoE damage and helps you level up quickly. It requires some positioning and multiple enemies to get the best effect, but you can make it work for solo battles. Shadow Imbuement and Shadow Clone can increase your damage output quickly, while Dash gets you into position. Getting into position comes with experience and it helps the build pay off.
The Moonrise and Ravenous Vampiric Powers let you attack faster and deal more damage. Hemomancy can contribute to the existing AoE damage you deal while healing you as a nice bonus. You still have to position yourself properly to make the most out of these powers. But with enough practice and the right Pacts, you will devastate everyone you come across.

Pulverize can deal great damage, especially if you boost Shapeshifting damage while boosting your Druid’s survivability. Earth Spike helps take care of enemies from a distance, while Earthern Bulwark absorbs some damage. Pulverize’s attack speed is quick, allowing you to repeat it in quick succession.

The Bone Spear Necromancer is a beginner-friendly build that is great with crowd control. Combine this with Corpse Tendrils after enemies start dying to increase the amount of damage until no one is left.
Sanguine Brace grants you Fortify which helps you survive longer. Accursed Touch helps you apply Vampiric Curse as you hit enemies with Bone Spear and Corpse Tendrils. Ravenous increases your attack speed, allowing you to fire off more attacks and clear enemies faster. By the time you use Vampiric Powers, you should be comfortable with managing the buffs and utilizing your spells.

Build #5: Ice Shard Sorcerer
The Ice Shards Sorcerer or Sorceress primarily uses Ice Shards as their main form of offense. Increasing the number of Ice Shards is crucial for dealing lots of damage without draining too much mana. Against single targets, it can be one of the biggest damage dealers around. Frost Nova is necessary to give you some breathing room and helps you maintain Ice Shards safely.
Accursed Touch will almost always apply a Vampiric Curse on enemies thanks to Ice Shards. Ravenous helps you attack faster which means your Ice Shards hit enemies sooner. Combine both of those powers with Prey on the Weak and you get a powerful damage boost. It’s not an AoE build but you can take down enemies quickly with enough Ice Shards.
