5. Vel 46
Despite the hype for the new weapons coming to the game with MW3, some of the MW2 are still rocking the dance floor in Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer mode. The Vel 46 is an excellent example of this scenario, dominating the close to mid-range combat in both games.

The renamed UZI has nearly no recoil without any attachments, and if you put the fitting extensions on it, it’ll become an annihilator. The WSP-9 is more powerful than its little brothers Swarm and Stinger, and it proves that point by dealing destructive damage to the targets.
2. Lachmann-Sub
MP5 is always good in almost every shooter title. Lachmann-Sub is the renamed version of this real-life weapon, which is featured as a MW2 weapon in the game. And now, after many nerfs and stat downgrades, it still hits so hard with an accuracy that’s on a whole other level.
One thing that makes Lachmann-Sub stand in a higher position in the best Modern Warfare 3 SMGs list is its fire rate. Imagine dealing nearly the same damage as WSP-9 and AMR9 but with a faster bullet release; the result is an unbelievable TTK in the game. 1. Striker
The balance on Striker is something that no other SMG in both MW2 and MW3 won’t offer. It doesn’t come with high damage, nor does it fire rounds fast enough like the Lachmann-Sub. But it still manages to beat all the other SMGs by having good measures on every weapon stats in the game.
It has good accuracy, perfectly manageable recoil, enough damage for a quick TTK, and a substantial fire rate that is more than enough to defeat anyone wielding other SMGs in the game. This weapon is the most player-friendly gun you’d find in the MW3, and that’s why it’s been given the throne of the best SMG in Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer.
Now, with the upcoming launch of MW3 and Warzone integration, it’s very curious to see how weapons like AMR-9 and Striker perform in battle royale. It’s probably more anticipated by fans than the release of MW3 itself, which couldn’t draw the attention with its Campaign and story.
